Sleep supplements have a whole section in any drug store. There are so many, gummies, pills, powders, and patches to name a few. They have many ingredients such as Melatonin, Ashwagandha, Valarian, GABA, the list is endless.
There are so many different types of supplements, and it is hard to figure out what is going to work for you. Now we are using it every day. There are interactions that you must be aware of. Some people may be allergic to the supplements, there are interactions between blood thinners, and epilepsy medication and the dosages in the supplements may not match what is on the label.
The other issue is that we are now seeing overdoses of Melatonin. This has been a concern of the American Association of Sleep Medicine.
