Evening Snacks

When choosing an evening snack, it’s important to avoid Caffeine, too much sugar, and any foods that would induce Heart Burn. Here are a couple of options from our Food 2.5 program (Twice the flavor and half the calories).

Warm Chamomile Milk
1 mug – 1/2 hot water, half unsweetened almond milk, chamomile tea bag plus 1/2 tsp maple syrup,
1/4 tsp vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt

Fresh or Dried Fruit
Banana (high in melatonin), Papaya (high in potassium), and Figs (high in magnesium) would make
excellent evening snacks.

Trail Mix
1/4 c trail mix – dried tart cherries and walnuts (both high in melatonin), and sunflower seeds
(great source of protein).

As with all dietary suggestions, we recommend you check with your doctor before making any changes
to your current diet.
